About Alyson

Alyson is the founder and creative lead of Wombat Workshop.  Originally from New Brunswick, she has also made her home in Ontario, Alberta, and now Manitoba.   She has a background in healthcare, with roots in the Biological Sciences.  She lives with her husband and two cats, along with many (some might say too many) houseplants.

A lifelong love of art in many forms has led to her latest foray into macramé and other fibre art.  She is self-taught, and always learning new and exciting techniques and approaches.  Her work is influenced by her love of the natural world, as well as all things beautiful, whimsical and wonderful.
